Rococo / Rokoko

A most recent silk scarf I made :) I participated with it in a concourse, the inspiration for the works had to come from some of the historic art styles. I chose Rococo - the brightest and sweetest of all. And here it is, sweet as sugar flowers on top of the cake, inspired by the life and art of the aristocracy of those old times, hiding from all that is bad and ugly in their fancy decorated palaces, parks, dresses, wigs and powder. I didn't try to imitate the Rococo art, but this is how the image of this epoque looks filtered through my imagination and my style.

Naujausia skarelė, negalėjau jos rodyti iš karto, kadangi dalyvavau konkurse, pavadintame "Epochų dvelksmas", įkvėpimo darbams konkurso dalyviai turėjo semtis iš kurios nors meno epochos stiliaus. Aš pasirinkau Rokoką, patį šviesiausia ir saldžiausią iš visų stilių. Ir išėjo tokia skarelė, saldi kaip cukrinės gėlytės ant torto :) įkvėpta tų senų laikų aukštuomenės gyvenimo, besislėpusio nuo visko, kas negražu, savo išpuoštuose rūmuose, parkuose, suknelėse, perukuose ir pudroje. Nebandžiau imituoti Rokoko, tiesiog štai, kaip jis atrodo prafiltruotas pro mano asmeninę vaizduotę ir mano stilių. :)

water lilies / lelijos

It is a long time that I carried this idea of water lilies in my head, finally when the occassion came, I made it. The colors are rather dark, but I like it, this green reflects the colors of some Lithuanian lakes and rivers, full of floating water plants. Some years ago I made few trips with small boat and canoe through the lakes and rivers and this image of all silently floating water with the water plants similar to the hair of some mystic fairies that live there, that wave when you pass, imprinted in me... and here it is full of all kinds of green, chiffon scarf :)

Jau labai ilgai nešiojau galvoje idėją nutapyti vandens lelijas, reikėjo laiko, kad viskas gerai susistovėtų ir kai atsirado proga, pagaliau įgyvendinau savo idee fixe. Spalvos gana tamsios, bet man patinka, ši žalia atspindi Lietuvos upių ir ežerų, pilnų vandens augalų, spalvas. Prieš kelerius metus teko kelis kartus keliauti valtimis ir kanojomis Dzūkijos ir Aukštaitijos ežerais ir upėmis ir įspūdžiai, kai plauki ir matai tyliai tekantį teškantį į irklus vandenį ir vinguriuojančius lyg upių laumių plaukai vandens augalus, giliai įstrigo atmintyje... ir štai, visokių žalios atspalvių šifono šalikėlis su lelijomis :)

Italy / Italija

I recently came back from a trip to Italy, it was not the first, and for sure not the last of my trips to bella Italia. Everytime I succeed to see some magnificent part of this country, and the more of Italy I see the better I realise how much there still is to see and to do :) probably it is the same about every country, I feel a bit shamed to say, but I didn't see all of Lithuania either, no matter how relatively small my home country is.

I was watching the photos of my trips and decided to collect some nicest moments and nicest photos that I made. So here it is a little mix of Italy, some of its seasons, regions, big and small cities and towns.

Neseniai grįžau iš savo nepirmos ir nepaskutinės kelionės į Italiją. Kiekvieną kartą pasiseka pamatyti kokią nors gražią jos dalelę, ir kuo daugiau Italijos pamatau, tuo labiau suprantu, kiek dar daug liko pamatyti ir nuveikti ten :) turbūt toks pats jausmas apimtų lankantis kiekvienoje šalyje. Šiek tiek gėda prisipažinti, but nesu aplankiusi ir visų įdomių Lietuvos vietų ir vietelių, nesvarbu, kokia palyginus maža mūsų šalelė.

Žiūrinėjau nuotraukas iš visų savo kelionių Italijoje, ir kad jau jų tiek nemažai prisirinko kažkaip beveik savaime susidėliojo tokios įspūdžių nuotrupų mozaikos iš mėgstamiausių mano darytų nuotraukų.
