more of soft colours / daugiau švelnių spalvų

My newest polymer clay creations: the scarf ring for my scarf "nightfall in the land of blossoms", I couldn't make a photo together with that scarf, because I don't have it anymore, the ring is leaving me soon as well :) I really spent a lot of time making it, but that time passed very quickly as I really liked to work with clay in this way, I guess in the future there will be more of works with this technique :) and also I made a pair of soft colour earrings, they are big, but very light.

Naujausieji lipdinukai, žiedelis prie jau anksčiau darytos skarelės "sutema šaly žiedų", negalėjau nufotografuoti kartu su skarele, kadangi skarelė jau nebe pas mane, žiedelis irgi jau greitai iškeliaus :) Tikrai ilgai prasėdėjau prie šio žiedelio, bet laikas labai greit prabėgo, patiko man lipdyti šiuo būdu, ateityje turbūt bus daugiau panašių darbelių :) ir švelnių spalvų auskarai, dideli, bet labai lengvi.

RingRing / žiedeliai

It has been few days I finished the rings for my two scarves - summer rainbow storm and azzurro. I suddenly came to an idea to make rings for scarves maybe a year ago and since then I did the rings for most of my scarves. The ring gives the possiblity not to make a knot, so more of scarf itself is visible, it also gives more possibilities to wear a scarf in different ways, and also as all the rings I make are decorative they can be used as an accessory with other scarves. And what a lovely packaging it helps to make ;)

There is still one scarf ring I'm working on now, for the scarf 'nightfall in the land of blossoms', because the girl who took it wanted also to have a scarf ring.

Jau kelios dienos, kai esu pabaigusi porą žiedelių savo paskutinėms skarelėms - žydrajai ir vasaros audroms. Idėja daryti žiedelius prie skarelių kilo labai staiga vieną gražią dieną, kaip sakoma, gal prieš metus, nuo tada daugumai skarelių esu padariusi žiedelius, išskyrus mažytes skarytes. Uždėjus žiedelį galima nerišti mazgo, taigi daugiau matosi ir pačios skarelės, taip pat su juo galima įvairiau ir įdomiau skarelę suraizgyti ant kaklo. Ir be to, man patinka, kaip atrodo viskas supakuota :)
Dabar dirbu dar prie vieno žiedelio, skarelei, kurią dariau kažkada anksčiau - sutema šaly žiedų, nes mergina įsigijusi skarelę užsinorėjo ir žiedelio prie jos.

Easter eggs / margučiai

Happy Easter everybody :))) Linksmų šv. Velykų!

Today I want to show you the Easter eggs me and my mom were making yesterday. It is a family tradition coming from my mom and my grandfather to decorate the eggs for Easter with wax, which is also a Lithuanian traditional way. Already when I was little my grandfather teached me to decorate and when he saw that I can do it and I like doing it he was very happy that this tradition is passed to younger generations :)
This year we had a technological improvement for heating the wax ;) my uncle made very rustic "equipment" :) as I'm a fan of detail you can distinguish which are mine by the small pin I used to draw the lines on eggs :)

Šiandien pasirodysiu su margučiais, kuriuos vakar marginome (ir kurių dar nespėjome išdalinti). Šeimoje marginame visada tradiciniu lietuvišku būdu, su vašku, taip margina mano mama ir mano senelis buvo tiesiog meistras marginimo. Dar kai buvau pakankamai mažytė jis išmokino mane ir pamatęs vėliau, kad man patinka ir gerai sekėsi, labai džiaugėsi, kad tradicija jau perduota ir išlaikyta :)
Šiais metais marginimas dar buvo technologiškai patobulintas, nes dėdė sumeistravo nusižiūrėjęs iš kažkur vaškui kaitinti tokį įrengimą. Kurie margučiai mano galima atskirti iš detalių smulkumo, kadangi aš tokia mėgėja smulkintis visada :)

azzurro

The scarf of which you saw the contours in previous post is now finished, together with Easter eggs :)) I couldn't think of a more detailed name, because the color is overwhelming, so I called it simply "azzurro". In this scarf I see maybe some lithuanian ethnic motifs of ornamentation, maybe dragonfly wings, maybe even some propellers :))) and the colors worth of Maldives.
I painted it with steam fixed dyes, I "boiled" it almost for two hours :) and the colors fixed perfectly, and the silk itself turned soft and very light. In general, i'm very happy with the result, it turned out better than I expected :)

Praėjusio pranešimo skarelė jau pabaigta, kartu su velykiniais margučiais :)) pavadinimas man nesusidėliojo kitoks, viską nustelbia spalva :) taigi azzurro - itališkai reiškia žydrai mėlyna. Susidėliojo lyg ir panašūs į etniškus lietuvių meno motyvus ornamentai, lyg ir laumžirgių sparnų raštai, galbūt propeleriai :))) ir Maldyvų vertos spalvos :)

Tapiau garais fiksuojamais dažais, beveik dvi valandas "viriau" :) spalvos užsifiksavo, pats šilkas minkštas ir labai lengvas, trumpai tariant, labai esu laiminga, nes pavyko geriau, negu tikėjausi :)

Today was an inspiring day. It was not important that the weather forecast for tomorrow doesn't promise anything nice, but today it was spring :) and it was more than enough for a good mood. I began painting a new scarf. Thanks for my friend Inga, who came to visit me and made some nice photos.

Šiandien buvo įkvepianti diena. Nesvarbu, kad orų prognozė jau rytojui nieko gero nežada, bet šiandien buvo tikrai pavasaris :) ir to užteko gerai nuotaikai. Pradėjau naują skarelę, dėkui Ingai, kad apsilankė ir nufotografavo paišaliojimus.
