Galbūt per daug poetiškas pavadinimas. Norėjau tiesiog parašyti apie paskutinius tris savo sukurtus šalikėlius. Visi jie buvo daryti pagal užsakymus, todėl ir kilo mintis aprašyti, ko gi žmonės iš manęs prašo ir kaip tai įgyvendinu. :)
Maybe the name of this post is too poetic. I only wanted to write about last three of my created scarves. From time to time it happens to me to make custom orders, and recently it was quite nice to have even three of them in line. That is why an idea came to me to write about what people ask from me and how I realize it. :)
Nr. 1. Keturlapiai dobilėliai / Four leaved clovers.
Šalikėlis "labai gerai draugei", todėl buvau paprašyta padaryti šviesias, linksmas spalvas, bei klientei labai patiko ornamentika šio šalikėlio . Daugiau užsakymas ir nebuvo detalizuotas, išskyrus dydį ir audinį, tačiau sekėsi interpretuoti gana gerai, ir rezultatas visiems patiko! :) Motyvas panašus į keturlapius dobilų lapelius turėjo kartu paslapčia nešti ir sėkmę turėtojui, ko dar galėtume linkėti "gerai draugei" ;)
The scarf, as was written to me "to a very good friend", I was asked to make something of bright, happy colors, the woman who ordered it wrote that she likes my detailed ornamentation, like in this scarf . There were no more details, except size and fabric type, but to make this was quite easy and the result pleased all! :) I have chosen something similar to four leaved clovers ornament, that the scarf would bring luck to the person who owns it ;)
Nr. 2. Gėlytės / Flowers
Šis užsakymas buvo šiek tiek konkretesnis. Labiausiai užsakovei patiko šis mano tapytas šalikėlis, tiek ornamentika, tiek spalvomis. Šalikėlis turėjo būti skirtas moteriai, kuriai patinka ryškios spalvos, įdomūs, originalūs gėlių motyvai ar ornamentai. Taigi, kadangi neįdomu tiesiogiai kopijuoti save, pabandžiau padaryti kartu panašų ir kitokį šalikėlį. :)
This order was a bit more detailed and concrete. The customer liked the most this scarf that I made some time ago for its ornamentation and colors as well. The scarf was meant to be given as a present to a woman who likes bright, vivid colors, original, interesting flower motives and ornaments. So, as it was not interesting to me copy myself, I tried to make the new scarf similar but at the same time different. :)
Nr. 3. Gyvybės medis / Tree of life
Labai įdomus ir įkvepiantis užsakymas (nors jie visi tokie). Užsakovė pasiūlė temą gyvybės medis ar visatos kiaušinis, turėjo būti kas nors susiję su lietuvių mitologija, tautosaka, gyvybės, gyvenimo simboliais, kadangi buvo skirtas pasveikinti tapus mama moterį, kuri tuo domisi. Kad galėčiau geriau įgyvendinti, netgi parsinešiau kelias knygeles P.Dundulienės apie gyvybės medžius ir kitus simbolius lietuvių tikėjimuose ir mene. Nežinau, ar tiesiogiai ką nors panaudojau, daugiau pasiklioviau savo nuojauta, nors buvo įdomu pasiskaityt.
Gal išmanantys tautosaką ir paneigs mano neprofesionalias interpretacijas, nors vis dėlto tai liaudies meno interpretacija, o aš irgi esu liaudis :). Pasistengiau įvesti šiek tiek "magijos", piešinyje motyvais ir jų skaičiais įkūnyti laiko tėkmę, gyvybės amžinumą ir atsinaujinimą. Pabandžiau įvesti sėkmę nešančius ir apsaugančius simbolius. Bet konkrečiai nepasakosiu, gal kam bus įdomu tyrinėjant piešinį tai atrasti. :)
Ir smagiausia buvo gauti gražų atsiliepimą iš skarelės naujos šeimininkės.
Very interesting and inspiring order (although they are all such). The customer suggested as the subject for drawing to use images of tree of life or world egg. It needed to be related to Lithuanian mythology, folklore, symbols of life and living, as it had to be a gift for a woman who recently became a mother, and who is interested in things mentioned before.
To realize better the idea I even took from the library some books by famous lithuanian ethnologist P.Dunduliene about tree of life and other symbols in lithuanian religion. I don't know if I directly used some of the information, after all I trusted my intuition. But it was interesting to get to know something new about the topic.
Maybe people who are specialist in lithuanian mythology or ethnology will deny or find silly my not professional interpretations, but it is folk art interpretation after all, right, so also folk like me can try to make it. :) I tried to bring some "magic" in this work. I tried to express the flow of time, the eternity of nature and life with the motives I used and numbers in which I grouped them. I tried to bring in as well symbols which bring luck and safeguard the person wearing them. But I will not write any more concrete details, maybe some of you will find it interesting to search for them in the drawing yourselves.
And the nicest moment was to get good feeback from the new owner of the scarf. :)
